Cottages & camping pitches

Cottages and camping pitches for a west coast holiday

Different types of accommodation are available for couples, families and groups of friends. Camping du Jard offers comfortable cottages and mobile homes with one to four bedrooms, along with furnished lodge tents for guests seeking a holiday closer to nature.

Several comfort levels are available. Some Premium cottages provide additional facilities, including a private hot tub, creating the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach or exploring the Vendée coast.

Travellers arriving with a tent, caravan or motorhome can book a spacious touring pitch. These pitches provide plenty of room for enjoying an outdoor holiday, with access to the campsite’s sanitary facilities and practical services.

Whether you prefer a fully equipped rental or a traditional camping experience, Camping du Jard provides a practical base for discovering France’s Atlantic coast.

An Atlantic coast campsite 700 metres from the beach

Camping du Jard enjoys a convenient location in the La Grière district of La Tranche-sur-Mer. The Atlantic coast and its long sandy beaches are only 700 metres from the campsite, making it easy to alternate between swimming in the sea and relaxing beside the campsite pools.

La Tranche-sur-Mer is known for its varied coastal landscapes, including beaches, dunes, forests, marshes and the Belle-Henriette nature reserve. The area is suitable for both relaxing seaside holidays and more active breaks involving water sports, walking and cycling.

Several beaches are located close to the campsite, including Les Bouchots–Grière Beach, Porte des Îles Beach, Sainte-Anne Beach and La Belle-Henriette Beach. Other spots, such as La Terrière Beach, are particularly popular with surfers and visitors looking for a more natural setting.

Water park

A campsite with a large water park in Vendée

The water park is one of the main attractions at Camping du Jard. Its indoor and outdoor facilities are designed for guests of all ages, with heated pools, waterslides, a river and aquatic play areas.

Younger children can enjoy the paddling and splash areas, while older children and teenagers can make the most of the slides and other water-based attractions. Adults may prefer to swim, join an aquafitness session or relax beside the pools.

The indoor pool is particularly useful on cooler or less sunny days. Families can therefore enjoy swimming during their Atlantic coast camping holiday without depending entirely on the weather.

Vendee Tourism

Discover the Vendée and France’s west coast

A stay at Camping du Jard provides easy access to the landscapes of southern Vendée. La Tranche-sur-Mer has an extensive network of cycle routes, allowing visitors to travel between the beaches, town centre, forest and surrounding natural areas.

The Atlantic Ocean also creates excellent conditions for water sports. Surfing, bodyboarding, paddleboarding, sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing are among the activities available locally. Beginners can book lessons with one of the nearby water sports schools, while more experienced visitors can hire equipment and practise independently in suitable conditions.

Day trips can lead towards La Rochelle, the Marais Poitevin, the Île de Ré or the coastal villages of Vendée. Boat trips from La Tranche-sur-Mer also provide opportunities to see Fort Boyard and the islands of the Charente-Maritime coast.

With sandy beaches, cycle routes, family attractions and natural landscapes within easy reach, Camping du Jard is well placed for a varied holiday on France’s west coast.
