Land-based activities in La Tranche sur Mer
The best way to discover all the nooks and crannies of this magnificent Vendée town is on foot or by bike.
If you choose to go for a walk, you’ll have the pleasure of exploring almost 330 hectares of pine forest, thanks to the various trails available. To enable tourists to discover the town properly, the tourist office also offers a 15 km bike tour. Start the walk at Place de la Liberté in the town center and finish at the park along the coast. After a short break in the shade of the pines, continue your walk along the Terrière beach through the national forest.
Then take a stroll through the beautiful center of La Terrière and continue on to the Grière district. Finally, head off to the Maupas lake for a breathtaking view of the Ile de Ré from the pier.
